Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions can Naturopathy help with?

1

Naturopathy can support a wide range of health concerns, including:

  • Digestive issues such as IBS, bloating, constipation and SIBO

  • Gut microbiome imbalances

  • Hormonal and menstrual concerns

  • Skin conditions

  • Nutrient deficiencies

  • Stress, fatigue and low energy

  • Preconception and reproductive health

  • Thyroid conditions, including Hashimoto’s, underactive and overactive thyroid

During your consultation, we’ll identify the areas that are most relevant to you and create a plan focused on your individual needs.

Are naturopathy consultations covered by private health insurance?

2

Naturopathy was reinstated as an eligible natural therapy for private health insurance from 1 July 2025. However, rebates vary between health funds and policies, so we recommend checking with your provider before your appointment to confirm whether you are eligible to claim.

An invoice will be provided after your consultation, which you can submit to your health fund if applicable.

We understand that healthcare costs need to fit within your budget. If you have a particular budget in mind, please let your practitioner know so we can work with you to prioritise the most appropriate recommendations.

Consultation fees are outlined under ‘Consults’. The cost of testing varies depending on the type of testing recommended and can range from approximately $50 to $650. Any testing will be discussed with you before it is arranged.

The cost of supplements, herbal medicines and other recommendations will also vary. We’ll always discuss these with you first, so you can make informed decisions about what feels appropriate for you.

Our approach is to keep your treatment plan targeted, practical and as streamlined as possible, recommending what we believe is genuinely relevant to your individual needs, rather than overwhelming you with a long list of products.

How much should I budget?

Yes. Testing is a valuable part of naturopathic care, helping us understand what may be happening beneath the surface and identify potential contributing factors to your symptoms. Where appropriate, testing can help guide a more targeted and personalised treatment plan.

Depending on your individual needs, testing may include:

  • Stool testing (microbiome and digestive health)

  • Hormone testing (saliva or urine)

  • Breath testing (SIBO and other digestive concerns)

  • Blood testing (iron, B12, thyroid, liver function and more)

  • Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

  • Microbiome swabs (vaginal or oral)

  • Organic Acids Testing (OAT)

Testing costs vary depending on the type of test and will always be discussed with you before proceeding.
